Dry eye is a frequent complaint after LASIK eye surgery, and the cause of this LASIK complication is not completely understood. It is believed that the primary cause of post-LASIK dry eye may be related to the severing of corneal nerves during the creation of the LASIK flap, but other factors may be involved.
