LASEK is safe and effective for the correction of childhood farsightedness, with or without associated amblyopia, according to a new study. Researchers in Canada assessed the safety and effectiveness of LASEK for the treatment of bilateral hyperopia, including cases of unequal farsightedness with associated amblyopia.
