This surgical method provides patients with a safe and comfortable LASIK experience while producing extremely precise vision correction results. For patients who may not be good candidates for LASIK, Dr. Lessner utilizes the same leading-edge equipment to perform an alternative laser vision correction procedure known as PRK.

Cory M. Lessner, MD, completed his undergraduate degree at Emory University in Atlanta and his medical degree at Hahnemann University, School of Medicine in Philadelphia. He served his residency in ophthalmology and a clinical fellowship in general ophthalmology at Tufts University New England Medical Center in Boston. Dr. Lessner is an active member of several ophthalmology organizations, including the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery and the International Society of Refractive Surgery.
Andrew Charles Shatz, MD, earned his undergraduate degree at McGill University in Montreal, Quebec, and his medical degree at the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta. After an internal medicine internship at Cornell University-North Shore University Hospital in New York, he completed his ophthalmology residency as chief resident at Hahnemann University in Philadelphia. Dr. Shatz lectures nationally at optometric and medical continuing education seminars on the topics of cataract and refractive surgery. He is a former radio host and producer of "For Your Eyes," a weekly AM radio talk show discussing all aspects of eye health. Dr. Shatz brought the first laser cataract system to Broward County, and was among the first surgeons in the country to perform laser cataract surgery.
