Does it hurt?
There is virtually no discomfort during LASIK surgery. No medication other than a numbing eye drop is needed prior to the procedure. However, most doctors will also offer you a mild sedative pill (e.g. Valium) on the day of your surgery to help you relax if you feel the need for it.
