No. Your eyes will be open after LASIK surgery, but clear plastic shields will be taped over your eyes (or you will be given non-prescription safety glasses to wear) immediately after surgery to keep you from touching, rubbing or bumping your eyes for the first few hours after your LASIK procedure.

You will also be given protective eye shields to wear at bedtime for up to a week to keep you from rubbing your eyes in your sleep.
